On Saturday, 6 September, the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham invites everyone to take part in our ‘Called to be One’ event. This is an opportunity to explore the vision of Christian unity offered by the Ordinariate, which exists to promote the unity of all Christians with the Apostolic See, and faithfully to proclaim the Gospel through the rich treasures of our traditions. In Oxford, we are structuring our Exploration Day as follows:
3pm Discussion – ‘Ordinariate: Dead End or Ecumenical Breakthrough?’
4pm Tea and cake
5pm Sung Evensong
6pm First Mass of the Twelfth Sunday after Trinity (Ordinariate Use).
A poster follows on this blog, and there are leaflets and prayer cards available after Mass on Saturday evenings at Holy Rood. All are very welcome to join us for this special day.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, who, through the child-bearing of Mary gave us thy Son: grant us also, by the power of thy Spirit and through the intercession of Our Lady of Walsingham, that the Called to be One exploration day may bear fruit to the increase of thy Church and the glory of thy name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
