Next Week Saturday 21 March, 6pm: Said First Mass of Lent V (Passion Sunday) in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.

The University vacation is now upon us, and choral services cease until the beginning of next term. After this coming Thursday, Evensong will not be said publicly until next term. Weekday masses continue as usual until Holy Week: please see the parish newsletter for more information. Saturday evening Mass will be a said/low mass, with Exposition and Confessions from 5.30pm.

Looking ahead to Holy Week: for the last few years, for a variety of reasons, we have not kept Holy Week and the Triduum as an Ordinariate community in Oxford. We have, however, consistently marked Palm Sunday and Easter Day with Sunday morning             Masses, in place of the usual Saturday night. This year’s plan is for Mass on Palm Sunday to be offered (at Holy Rood) at 9am, and on Easter Day at 8am. More details to follow, as well as the parish’s Holy Week programme, in due course.

The Ordinariate’s Chrism Mass takes place on Monday of Holy Week, (Monday 30 March) at the church of Our Lady and St Gregory, Warwick Street, London W1.               Mass begins at 11.30am, and the Principal Celebrant is once again H.E. the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Mennini. All are very welcome to attend.
