Alleluia!

In accordance with Divine Worship: The Missal, we put the Alleluia aside on Septuagesima Sunday, so we rejoice to have it back this Easter.

Choral services resume on Saturday 28 April at the 5.00pm Mass at Holy Rood, and this term’s music list will be published in due course. Happily, this year, Ascension Day is restored to Thursday in England and Wales, which becomes again a midweek Holyday of obligation. The regular Thursday DW Mass will be offered solemnly that day.

In the immediate post-Easter period, there is no 5.00pm Mass on Saturday 7 April, and no Mass on the Thursday either side thereof. Normal services resume on Saturday 14 April at 5.00pm at Holy Rood. Other Saturday-for-Sunday Masses are available in the parish and elsewhere in the city centre, details of which may be easily found online.

Please keep in your prayers Revv Michael Ward, Jonathan Creer, and Thomas Mason, preparing for ordination to the sacred priesthood (God willing) at the end of June. Look out for details of First Masses in due course.
